Abstract

An unrecorded fungal species in Korea, Diaporthe tectonae was isolated from soil in Jeon-ju of Korea. The isolate was characterized morphologically, and a phylogenetic analysis using a combined dataset of internal transcribed spacer, β-tubulin, and elongation factor 1-α sequences indicated its similarity to D. tectonae strains reported previously. To our knowledge, this is the first report of D. tectonae in Korea.
